Game Recap

After scrimmage number 2, the Bobcat coaching staff feels they are taking steps in the right direction to get ready for regular season play in 2017. Even though they plated 9 runs, Coach Bay’s biggest concern is the teams approach at the plate. “We are letting a lot of good fastballs that we can drive go by”, Bay said. “Hitting is always a little behind pitching at this point in the year. We just want to see our guys with better approaches at the plate, and making adjustments. Alot of it is timing.” You could see some of those adjustments made late, with juniors Furman Wilson, Jack Fassino, and Coleman Smith all getting hits in their final at bats of the night. With just two scrimmages left, the Bobcats will get back to work on having a more “relaxed but aggressive” approach to the game. They will return to action Wednesday night Feb. 15th at home against Easley at 5:30.
