Girls’ Cross Country has strong finish at Eye Opener

The Ladycat girls’ cross country team had a strong finish at the Eye Opener Invitational on Saturday at the Milliken Plant in Spartanburg.  In the second biggest cross country meet of the regular season in the state, the Ladycats finished 3rd in the Championship Race.  They were led by Carson Towe, who finished 28th overall.  The Ladycats beat 3 of the top 5 teams in AAA in this race beating Waccamaw, Walhalla and knocking off defending state champions Palmetto.  The Ladycats will be in action again on September 12th at the Region 1-AAA Pre-Region Meet at Pendleton High School starting at 5:00 pm.
