The girls cross country team finished a record setting season Saturday November 5th at the Sandhills Research Center in Columbia by finishing as the state runner up for AAA. They scored 116 points en route to their second place finish, the highest finish in school history for girl’s cross country. They were led by All State Selection Rhylee Wittrock, who finished 15th overall. She was joined by Sariah Stewart, Carson Towe, Dakota Morrow, Catherine Cann, Allie Lee and Madison Towe. The girls were ranked 2nd in the state all year long, and won the first region championship in program history in October. The team will look to replace seniors Allie Lee and Dakota Morrow moving into next year to improve on this year’s finish.
