Bobcats News · Lady Cats fall in Upperstate Battle

For the second straight year the season for the Seneca Lady Cats did not end the way they had hoped for. Early foul trouble and turnovers were the Lady Cat’s downfall. Down by only seven at half time with 19 first half turnovers and both starting guards in foul trouble, the Lady Cats seemed poised to make a run. The Lady Bulldogs of Newberry raced out to a 21-8 advantage in the third quarter effectively putting the game away. Down by 22 after three quarters the Lady Cats fought back outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 28-17 in the fourth quarter but time ran out on the Lady Cats with the final score being 67-58. The Lady Cats were led in scoring by Anne Hamilton Leroy with 17 points and Kaliah Kendrick with 14 points. The Lady Cats finish the season at 19-9. This years team featured no seniors meaning the Lady Cats look to be back at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena next year with the same roster.
