The Seneca offense got back in the swing of things, dominating rival Daniel in route to a 12-2, mercy rule victory Monday night at Coach Mac field, in their first regular season matchup of the year. Backing up a strong start from senior, Bryson Whaley, on the mound, and some heads up defensive plays through the first 4 innings, the Bobcats found themselves in control up 9-0. The Bobcats totaled 12 hits to go along with 9 walks, led by seniors Jack Fassino and Ben Seitz, who each had two hits. Fassino led the team with 3 RBIs, while sophomore, Trent Land added a single and 2 RBIs on a pinch hit at bat in the 5th. Seneca will be back in action Wednesday night, as the #2 ranked 3A team in the state travels to Anderson to take on #2 ranked 5A TL Hanna. First pitch is set for 6:30.
